3-Day Long Weekend! UAE Announces Public Holiday for Prophet’s Birthday

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has declared that Friday, September 29, 2023, will be a day off for federal government workers to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).

A notice from the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources stated that regular work will resume on Monday, October 2.

Traditionally, Muslims observe Milad un Nabi (Mawlid) on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi Al Awwal. This day holds great spiritual significance as it commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the Islamic community.
